To become a Government Studies program that produces professional and integrity-driven human resources to fill and/or create job opportunities in South Sumatra by the year 2022.

1. To conduct teaching and learning processes that produce graduates who are professionals in government management, with a strong awareness of contemporary social issues.
2. To enhance research and community service among faculty and students, focusing on contemporary social problems, government policies, and local governance issues.
3. To establish collaborations with stakeholders in order to create a link and match with government institutions.
4. To foster an entrepreneurial spirit and creativity among students, enhancing their competencies to create job opportunities.

A Bachelor’s degree in Government Studies is highly sought after in various fields and professions. Graduates of the Bachelor’s program in Government Studies from the Faculty of Government and Cultural Studies at Universitas Indo Global Mandiri are prepared for careers as:

Government Practitioners
This competency provides students with expertise in government affairs, enabling them to work in government institutions at the central, regional, or village levels, state-owned enterprises (SOEs), regional government-owned enterprises (RGOs), or as members or staff of national or regional electoral bodies.

Political Actors (Politicians)
This competency offers students the opportunity to engage in political activities, become political experts or figures, and participate in government affairs. Projected professions include political party members, legislative members, or expert staff for legislative members at both national and regional levels.

Organizational Activators
This competency equips students with the skills to lead and manage groups or organizations, serve the public effectively, speak in public, and persuade audiences in government programs or activities. Projected professions include founders or members of non-governmental organizations (NGOs), staff at research institutions, survey organizations, or consultancy firms.

Entrepreneurs
This competency enables students to build and run entrepreneurial ventures that produce goods or services with market value, ready for commercialization.

In addition to the career prospects outlined above, graduates of the Government Studies program can also pursue careers as journalists, administrators, spokespersons/public relations officers, work in the private sector, and continue their studies at higher academic levels.
